ACC approves appointment of M Anitha (IRS) as Director in Department of Defence

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of M Anitha, IRS (Income Tax: 2007), as Director in the Department of Defence under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The approval follows a recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB) and entails her appointment on a lateral shift basis from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), where she is currently serving as Director. Her appointment will take effect from the date she assumes charge of the post.

According to the order, Anitha will serve in the Department of Defence for a tenure up to September 26, 2026, which is the balance period of her five-year deputation tenure at the Director level under the Central Staffing Scheme, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
