ACC approves key appointments at Joint Secretary level across ministries

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of appointments at the Joint Secretary (JS) or equivalent level across multiple ministries and departments of the Government of India. These appointments come with pay at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix and involve key leadership roles in various government sectors.

Muktanand Agarwal, IAS (RJ:2008), appointed as CEO (JS level), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, for a tenure up to November 6, 2027.

Prajakta L Verma, IAS (MH:2001), appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, for a tenure up to March 23, 2027.

Lakhpat Singh Choudhary, IRSS (1997), appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal, up to his superannuation on December 31, 2029.

Saket Kumar, IAS (BH:2009), appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, for a tenure up to August 16, 2025.

Satinder Kumar Bhalla, ITS (1992), appointed as Secretary, North Eastern Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, up to his superannuation on July 31, 2028.

Madhup Vyas, IAS (UT:2000), appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, for a tenure of five years.

Ajay Kumar, IP&TA&FS (1993), appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, up to his superannuation on July 31, 2029.

Devesh Deval, IAS (MN:2004), appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, for a tenure of five years.

Raghav Langer, IAS (UD:2009), appointed as Secretary, National Medical Commission (NMC), Department of Health & Family Welfare, up to October 3, 2025.
