New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic level reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of several officers at Joint Secretary and equivalent levels appointments across multiple Government Departments on Friday. Here is the list fresh appointments.
Chauhan Santa Chand (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances. She has been appointed to the post in place of NBS Rajput (IAS) for a period of five years upto April 25, 2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a 1999-batch IAS officer of UT cadre.
Deepak Agarwal (IAS) has been appointed as Managing Director (JS level) of National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. He has been appointed to the post in place of Rajbir Singh Panwar (IFoS) for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2000-batch IAS officer of UP cadre.
Rama Shankar Sinha (IFoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying. He has been appointed to post in place of OP Chaudhary (IFoS) with effect from the of the assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto the date of superannuation on November 30, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Monalisa Dash (IFoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of AYUSH. She has been appointed to the post in place of Bishwajit Kumar Singh (IFoS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for an overall tenure of five years upto October 11, 2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Kesang Yangzom Sherpa (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce. She succeeds Indu C Nair (IRAS) and will serve up to October 14, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a 1995-batch IRS officer of the IT cadre.
Mohit Yadav (IFS) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) (Joint Secretary level) in the Department of Commerce. He will take over from Srikar K. Reddy (IFS) for a tenure of three years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2002-batch IFS officer.
Premjit Lal (ITS) has been appointed as Executive Director at the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) under the Department of Commerce. He succeeds Rajat Agarwal (IAS) and will serve up to his superannuation on June 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 1992-batch ITS officer.
Balamurugan D (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. He takes over from Manoj Pandey (IRS) and will serve for five years up to May 8, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2005-batch IAS officer of the BH cadre.
Garima Bhagat (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production. She will succeed Anurag Bajpai (IFoS) and will serve for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a 1996-batch IRS officer of the IT cadre.
Niraj Kumar (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, replacing Monalisa Dash (IFoS) for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Manmeet Kaur Nanda (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, with an extension of central deputation for one year beyond November 10, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a 2000-batch IAS officer of the WB cadre.
Rajat Agarwal (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. He will serve in this position for five years up to February 13, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2003-batch IAS officer of the PB cadre.
Ved Prakash Mishra (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. He will serve for five years up to March 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by upgrading a post of Director held by the officer. He is a 2004-batch IRS officer of the IT cadre.
C Shikha (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution. She takes over from N Gulzar (IAS) for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a 2004-batch IAS officer of the KN cadre.
Sangeet (IDAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution. He will serve for a combined tenure of six years up to March 12, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2004-batch IDAS officer.
Ravi Kumar (IRSME) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries. He will take over the charges from Mukta Shekhar (IRAS) and will serve for a combined tenure of seven years up to January 10, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 1992-batch IRSME officer.
Raj Kumar (IA&AS) has been appointed as Director (Finance) at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will take over the charges from Dhananjay Kumar (IDAS) for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 1999-batch IA&AS officer.
Praveen Kumar Rai (IDAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He takes over from Ashish Kumar (IAS) for a combined tenure of seven years up to August 16, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2003-batch IDAS officer.
Rakesh Kumar Pandey (IDAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will take over the charges from Shyamal Misra (IAS) for a combined tenure of seven years up to May 13, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2003-batch IDAS officer.
Rajesh Gupta (IRSEE) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will take over the charges from Sumant Singh (IAS) for a five-year tenure up to April 15, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2001-batch IRSEE officer.
Ajoy Sharma (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment. He will serve for a five-year term or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by downgrading a post of Additional Secretary. He is a 1999-batch IAS officer of the PB cadre.
Dinesh Mahur (ITS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines. He will serve until superannuation on December 31, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 1992-batch ITS officer.
P Bala Kiran (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training. He takes over from Rajat Kumar (IAS) for a five-year tenure up to February 28, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2008-batch IAS officer of the KL cadre.
Anjan Kumar Mishra (IOFS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. He will serve for five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 1998-batch IOFS officer.
Mukesh Mangal (ITS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways. He takes over from Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME) and will serve until his superannuation on November 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 1992-batch ITS officer.
Gurneet Tej (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade. She takes over from Balamurugan D (IAS) for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a 2006-batch IAS officer of the KN cadre.
Abhilasha Jha Misra (IRAS) has been appointed as Member Secretary (Joint Secretary level) of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Department of School Education & Literacy. She will serve for five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is a 2000-batch IRAS officer.
Amit Nirmal (ISS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. He has been appointed to the post in place of K. Touthang (CSS) for a period with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders whichever is earlier.
Bhavna Saxena (IPS) has been appointed as CEO of Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) under the Ministry of Women & Child Development. She has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to February 15, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
