Ajay Singh Tomer (IAS) appointed as Director in Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ajay Singh Tomer (IAS) as Director in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare.

Tomer is a 2012-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Haryana cadre. Presently, he is serving as Deputy Commissioner of Ambala.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Traning (DoPT) issued on Thursday, Tomer has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The DoPT has also asked the Haryana Government to relieve the officer of his present duties immediately to enable him to assume his new assignment in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, Government of India, in New Delhi.
