Amandeep Garg (IAS) gets additional charge as Chairman of CPCB

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Chairman of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, to Amandeep Garg (IAS). Garg is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.

According to an order issued form the Department of Personnel (DoPT), this assignment will remain in effect until the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Garg is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1999 batch from the Himachal Pradesh cadre. He has extensive experience in administrative roles and policy implementation.
