Bhumika Verma (IES) appointed as Director in Department of Expenditure

New Delhi: Bhumika Verma (IES) has been selected for the appointment as Director in Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance on Thursday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Verma has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Verma is an Indian Economic Service (IES) officer of 2007-batch. Presently, she is posted as Director (G20) in Department of Economics Affairs under the same Ministry. She is graduated (BA Economics) and post-graduated (MA Economics) from Lucknow University.

Verma was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Economic Affairs. “She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Department of Expenditure," the order further read.
