The ACC has also approved the continuation of Amandeep Garg (IAS) as Chairman of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on an additional-charge basis. He is a 1999-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Masirkar's central deputation tenure as Director in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been curtailed to facilitate her appointment to the security leadership position at ONGC, under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Masirkar succeeds Baljit Singh, a 1996-batch IPS officer of the Jharkhand cadre. Her tenure will continue until May 3, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
