

New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the re-designation of the post of Deputy Census Officer/District Census Registrar (DCO/DCR), Uttarakhand, from the Deputy Secretary level to the Director level under the Office of the Registrar General of India (RGI).
According to an official order, the re-designation applies to the post presently held by Iva Ashish Srivastava (IAS). Iva is a 2010-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Odisha cadre. Currently, she is serving on central deputation. The upgraded designation of DCO/DCR, Uttarakhand (Director level) will take effect from the date she assumes charge of the re-designated post.
The approval has been granted for a period up to April 2, 2026, corresponding to the admissible three-year tenure as DCO/DCR, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Srivastava has been on central deputation with effect from April 3, 2023. The decision has been taken with the approval of the competent authority and follows a proposal submitted by the Office of the Registrar General of India.
