New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has announced significant personnel changes involving Jivan Kautikrao Bachhav (IRS). According to a Personnel Ministry order issued on January 27, the ACC has approved the curtailment of Bachhav’s tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, where he was serving under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Further, Bachhav has been appointed as the Private Secretary to the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav. He will serve at the level of Director, with his tenure effective from the date of assumption of charge.
Bachhav is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS IT) officer of 2011-batch. His term will last up to February 5, 2028, aligning with the balance period of his five-year central deputation tenure. Alternatively, his tenure will be co-terminus with the Minister, or will conclude earlier if he ceases to function as the Private Secretary to the Minister or as per further orders.
