Prashant Kumar (IRSME) appointed Director in Technical Support Unit under DPIIT

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Prashant Kumar, an officer of the 2011 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), as Director in the Technical Support Unit (TSU) under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Kumar, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Railways, will serve under the Central Staffing Scheme. His tenure will be for a combined period of five years, up to September 18, 2027, covering both ex-cadre and CSS deputation, or co-terminus with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (PMGS NMP), whichever is earlier.

He has been directed to take up his new assignment in the TSU under DPIIT, Delhi, and will be relieved of his present duties immediately to assume the role.
