Puneet Kansal (IAS) given additional charge of AAI Chairman for 3 months

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has entrusted Puneet Kansal (IAS) with the additional charge of Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for a period of three months

New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has entrusted Puneet Kansal (IAS), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, with the additional charge of Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for a period of three months.

According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation on September 29, the additional charge has been assigned to Kansal following the transfer of Vipin Kumar, IAS (BH:1996).

Kansal will hold the additional charge of AAI Chairman in addition to his existing duties, with effect from the forenoon of September 30, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

AAI allocates Rs 3,490 crore for modernisation of air navigation infrastructure

Kansal is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The order has been circulated to Member (HR), AAI, the Company Secretary and Chief of Administration & Corporate Services (CA&CS), AAI, and all Board Members of AAI.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a statutory body under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is responsible for managing and operating airports and air navigation services across the country.
