Rahul Hooda (IAS) appointed Deputy Secretary in Civil Aviation Ministry

New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Rahul Hooda, IAS (HY:2015), as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

In another appointment, Iftakhar Ahmed Chowdhry, IRS (C&IT:2013), has been selected as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Health Research under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. His candidature for central deputation was recommended by the Department of Revenue.

The Government has also approved the appointment of Jitender Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:2010), as Director of Census Operations (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR), Lakshadweep, on an additional-charge basis. The appointment will be effective from the date he assumes charge and will be for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Separately, Rajarshi Mitra, IAS (WB:2012), has been appointed Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration (Director level), West Bengal, under the Central Staffing Scheme. His tenure will be three years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
