
New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed Tanvi Sundriyal (IAS) as Director in the Ministry of Civil Aviation on August 7. She has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date she assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Sundriyal is a 2010-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. She was recommended for the position through the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Sundriyal is an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology, she graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2006 and later earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Delhi University.
Over the past decade, Sundriyal has held key administrative roles in Madhya Pradesh, including District Magistrate (2017–2018, 2019–2020), Managing Director of MPSeDC (2018–2019), Additional Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism (2016–2017), and Chief Executive Officer of the Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Development Authority (MPRRDA). She is widely recognised for her work in promoting Madhya Pradesh’s tourism, especially the wildlife circuit, heritage tourism, and religious tourism.
