Varun Nayyar (IDAS) appointed Internal Financial Advisor in CBI

New Delhi: The Central Government has appointed Varun Nayyar (IDAS) as Internal Financial Advisor (IFA) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at the Deputy Secretary level. He is an Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer of the 2014 batch.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Nayyar, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Defence, has been selected for the position under the Central Staffing Scheme.

He will serve in the post from the date of assuming charge and up to December 12, 2028, representing a combined tenure of four years across ex-cadre and Central Staffing Scheme assignments, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The DoPT has directed the Ministry of Defence to relieve the officer of his current responsibilities immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment in the Central Bureau of Investigation, which functions under the Department of Personnel and Training.
