New Delhi: Commander Shantanu Bose (Retd) has taken over as Director (Shipbuilding) of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Limited on June 8, 2022. Commander S Bose is a highly qualified and experienced naval architect who has been in charge of several projects undertaken by GRSE since 2013. Before taking charge as Director (Shipbuilding), he was General Manager (MW) and (P17A) and Project Superintendent of Project 17A of the Indian Navy under which three advanced guided missile stealth frigates are being built by the company in Kolkata.

During this period, he trained officers and sailors of the Indian Navy and foreign navies in naval architecture while coordinating and planning.

From INS Vishwakarma, Commander Bose moved to GRSE as Deputy General Manager.
