New Delhi: Changdev Sukhadev Kamble and Dr Usha Narayan have been appointed as Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of KIOCL Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Steel. According to an order from the Ministry of Steel, dated November 1, both officials have been appointed on the KIOCL Board for a period of three years with effect from the date of notification of their appointment, and until orders, whichever is earlier. This information has been shared by the Miniratna Steel PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Tuesday.

Profile of Changdev Sukhadev Kamble

Kamble is a MA, MPhil and Ph D holder in Marathi from Pune and Solapur University respectively. He is having experience of more than 30 years of teaching. Currently, he is working as a Professor of Marathi at Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara.

Profile of Dr Usha Narayan

And Dr Usha Narayan is a Bachelor in Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) and has done MBA in Healthcare Services. She also holds a Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharma) in Allopathic Medicine. She is having experience of more than 10 years in health care services. Currently, she is engaged in Medical Practice. Previously, she has held as Ayush Medical Officer in National Health Mission. She is a social worker and connected with social issues/ reforms for the past 30 years.

KIOCL Limited

KIOCL Limited, formerly 'Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited' is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel of Government of India. KIOCL has its head office and administrative activities in Bangalore. It has a pelletisation plant in Mangalore and had an iron ore mine in Kudremukh (Chikkamagaluru district). The Kudremukh mine, one of the largest iron ore mines in the world, was closed in 2006.
