New Delhi: Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated the project of the establishment of 330 smart classrooms in 165 Government schools in 10 districts of Haryana under the CSR initiative of Power Grid Corporation on Monday.
The inauguration was conducted virtually from Gurugram in presence of Power Grid's Executive Director (CSR & EM) Sanjay Garg along with other senior officials of Power Grid and senior officials of the state government of Haryana. Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Power Grid in CSR works especially related to education.
The project has been completed at an approximate cost of Rs 7.8 crore and the smart classes have been established in schools of Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hissar, Karnal, Panchkula, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak and Yamunanagar. The project has been implemented by Northern Region–I of POWERGRID in association with the Haryana CSR Advisory Board and is estimated to benefit about 2.5 Lakhs students of Haryana, every year.
This CSR initiative will provide the students of the government schools the much-needed exposure to digital learning in this digital era and will help to bring out the best of their potentials.
