CSR Watch: IREL distributes artificial limbs for Divyangjan

New Delhi: IREL (India) Limited, a PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities through its CSR initiative. The distribution of intelligent artificial limbs and prosthetics under CSR was carried in nearby areas in the vicinity of IREL operating plants.

IREL undertook CSR activity for making a significant impact in the life of people suffered with amputation of limbs. IREL provided advanced prosthetics under its CSR fund to people with disabilities in the areas nearby its mining sites. This will help improve the livelihood of people with disabilities and provide them with a better quality of life. About 42 artificial limbs of different varieties (below knee, above knee, below elbow, above elbow) were provided to the local inhabitants.

Speaking on the occasion, IREL (India) Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) D Singh said that IREL has taken its CSR activities to another stage by this activity. The beneficiaries thanked IREL for this activity and vouched their support for the company.
