

New Delhi: Indian Bank has contributed Rs 1.20 crore to the Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by floods in the state.

The cheque was presented to Himanta Biswa Sarma by Binu J. Pillai, Field General Manager, Guwahati, and Alok Kumar, Zonal Manager, Guwahati, on behalf of the bank.
The contribution is aimed at strengthening the Assam government's ongoing flood relief and rehabilitation measures for people affected by the natural disaster.
Indian Bank said the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting communities during times of crisis and contributing to recovery efforts through its CSR programmes.

The public sector lender said it continues to undertake CSR initiatives across the country in areas such as social welfare, humanitarian assistance, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability and financial inclusion, as part of its broader commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
According to the bank, the contribution underscores its resolve to provide timely assistance during emergencies and ensure that relief reaches those in need.
