New Delhi: In a significant step for strengthening wildlife conservation, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited's (MCL) Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD) Uday Anant Kaole flagged off 12 patrolling vehicles to Satkosia Tiger Reserve in Angul district of Odisha.

MCL's Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) AS Bapat; Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Satyabrata Sahu (IAS); Sushanta Nanda, IFS, PCCF (Nodal), Sudhansu Khora, Field Director of Satkosia; and other key dignitaries from the Forest Department, Govt. of Odisha were also present during the flag-off ceremony held in Bharatpur Jungle Safari, Bhubaneswar.

Under its CSR initiative, MCL has invested Rs 3.17 crores for these vehicles to enhance the safety and monitoring of wildlife within the reserve. This will create a more secure environment for tigers and other wildlife, while also enriching the experience for tourists visiting the sanctuary.
