New Delhi: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) on Wednesday said that it has signed a MoU for the development of civic infrastructure in Dhouragatha village in Angul district of Odisha.

Under its CSR initiative, MCL will provide financial assistance of Rs 76 lakh to the District Administration, Angul, for construction of 13 Cement Concrete (CC) roads in the village.

The project will benefit around 110 rehabilitated families residing in the newly developed settlements of Asanbahal and Tuluka Colony, addressing critical connectivity needs. The initiative is expected to enhance accessibility, facilitate smoother movement, and improve the delivery of essential services, thereby contributing to an improved quality of life for the community.

The MoU was signed between Abdaal M. Akhtar, Collector & District Magistrate, Angul, and Shri Jyotirmay Sinha, General Manager (Civil Welfare–TA & CSR), MCL.
