NHPC provides financial aid of Rs 2 lakh to Red Cross Society, Faridabad

New Delhi: NHPC Limited, Miniratna power PSU and India's premier hydropower company, has provided the financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the Red Cross Society, Faridabad for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The cheque was handed over by NHPC Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) AK Singh in presence of NHPC Limited's Director (Projects) Ratish Kumar to the Red Cross Society's (Faridabad) Vice-Chairperson Sushma Gupta on Monday. The assistance has been given for providing all essential services to deprived and underprivileged people with food items, dry ration packets masks etc.

NHPC through its Corporate Social Responsibility policy has been actively supporting and promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects for prevention & mitigation of COVID-19. The thrust lies in the promotion of health care, including preventive health care and sanitation to the community at large and disaster management. NHPC has directed all locations to provide all the support to the needy people.

In future also NHPC shall continue to make all possible efforts in supporting the country in crisis period due to COVID-19 pandemic.
