The agreements include the establishment of a 6-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the Burn Unit at Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital (KMCH) and the launch of a nutritional support programme for 200 tuberculosis (TB) patients under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The first MoA, a tripartite agreement among NTPC, the District Administration, and KMCH, aims to create a state-of-the-art 6-bedded Burn ICU equipped with advanced life-support systems, infection-control mechanisms, and modern medical equipment at a project cost of Rs 1.47 crore. The facility is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to handle critical burn cases and provide tertiary care to patients from Kokrajhar, BTR, and neighbouring districts. The project will be completed within 12 months and includes the installation of HVAC systems, oxygen pipelines, and advanced patient monitoring infrastructure.

The second MoA focuses on providing nutritional support to 200 registered TB patients across Kokrajhar district for six months, at a total project cost of Rs 13.44 lakh. The initiative aims to improve treatment adherence and recovery rates through the supply of food and protein supplements, contributing to the national goal of eliminating tuberculosis under the PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
