New Delhi: The REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College to provide doorstep primary healthcare services to deprived and underserved communities in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.

The agreement, signed on Thursday, entails financial assistance of Rs 1.20 crore from REC Foundation for the procurement and deployment of one Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), including operational expenditure for a period of three years.

The MoU has been signed in the presence of Member of Parliament Arun Govil and LLRM Medical College's Principal Ramesh Gupta, along with senior REC officials including Director (Projects) TSC Bosh, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, xecutive Director (CSR) Arun Kumar Tyagi and HOD (CSR) Bhupesh Chandolia.

According to REC, the Mobile Medical Unit will help deliver essential healthcare services to remote and underserved communities, ensuring timely medical assistance for people with limited access to healthcare facilities.

Further, this initiative aligns with its continued focus on inclusive development and strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the country through targeted CSR interventions, REC added.
