SECL makes all CSR activities accessible to the public through the App

New Delhi: SECL has launched a CSR app for better implementation of various social welfare programs and activities carried out by SECL under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to make them accessible to the public. The above CSR App can be accessed through the link available on the SECL website (https://www.secl-cil.in).

The App was launched by Gajanan Deorao Asole, Part Time Non-Official Director and Chairman, CSR Committee, at the 338th SECL Board Meeting held on Friday, July 14 at New Delhi. The launch of this CSR app will add more fairness and transparency in the CSR efforts of the company through digitization.

CSR App can be easily accessed on mobile, laptop, or digital device by login and view all the activities done by SECL through a user-friendly interface. Through the app, people will be able to get information related to the annual expenditure incurred by SECL on CSR activities, total number of activities carried out, last year's performance, photo-videos of activities etc. Along with this, the facility of giving suggestions and feedback has also been provided in the app.

The app is divided into three parts, in the first part, the general public can view various information related to the CSR activities of SECL, such as physical progress, financial information, beneficiaries, sanction orders, project location, etc. The second part can be accessed from all operational areas of SECL as well as from HQ to update the latest activities. The third part can be accessed only for updating the CSR activities recently approved by SECL HQ CSR Department.

It may be noted that SECL is carrying out CSR activities related to sustainable development, education, health, rural development, skill development of youth, better education in government schools etc. In the last financial year 22-23, the company has spent about Rs 45 crore for various social works under CSR, in which Rs 27 crore has been spent in the health sector and Rs 11 crore in the education sector.
