
New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Raj Kumar Arora, a 1990-batch officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), as Financial Adviser (Defence Services) in the Ministry of Defence.
According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Arora, who is presently serving as Special Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), will assume charge of his new post on or after November 1, 2025.
Arora is a senior IDAS officer with over three decades of experience in defence finance, audit, and accounts. His appointment comes at a crucial time when the Ministry of Defence continues to focus on enhancing financial efficiency and transparency in defence spending.
