Bengaluru: State-owned BEML stated in a regulatory filing on Thursday that it has showcased some of its prime products during Aero India 2023, the biennial mega Aero exhibition which is being held at Yellahanka Airbase. "With the theme of ‘Atmanirbharata’, the company displayed its niche products such as Variants of Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and structure of space vehicle along with critical components in the aero-space sector & Miniature Models of its defence equipment," the filing added.
During the event, BEML focused on showcasing its capability, promoting Aerospace and Defence products and to interact with potential customers and also to explore collaborations, it added.
"BEML also displayed the 25-kilogram class tactical UAV, developed indigenously in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. The UAV is intended to carry versatile payloads of three kilograms, such as day and night cameras. It can take off and land in short runways, fly continuously for eight hours and has 50 kilomteres radio range," the filing said.
"BEML signed MoUs to enter into collaborations with major players in the Defence and Aerospace Business. BEML used the opportunity to network with MSMEs and start-ups to maximise its efforts of localisation or indigenisation," it added.
