BDL signs Rs 811 crore contract with Defence Ministry for SAT-SAAW

Under the contract, BDL will supply SAT-SAAW systems and associated equipment to the IAF

New Delhi: Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has signed a contract worth Rs 810.79 crore with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of Satellite Smart Anti-Airfield Weapons (SAT-SAAW) along with associated equipment to the Indian Air Force (IAF).

The contract was signed on Wednesday, in New Delhi in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.

The contract has been placed under the Buy (Indian-Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category, in line with the government's focus on indigenous defence production.

Under the contract, BDL will supply SAT-SAAW systems and associated equipment to the IAF. The order further strengthens BDL's role in the development and supply of indigenously designed and manufactured weapon systems for the Indian armed forces.
