BEL clocks record Rs 26,750 crore turnover in FY26, exports rise over 33%

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has reported a record turnover of around Rs 26,750 crore (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year 2025–26, registering a growth of 16.2 percent over Rs 23,024 crore achieved in the previous fiscal.

The Navratna defence public sector undertaking also posted robust export performance during the year, with export sales rising to approximately $141.9 million compared to $106.17 million in FY25, marking a growth of 33.65 percent.

During FY26, BEL secured fresh orders worth about Rs 30,000 crore, including export orders valued at $346 million. Key defence orders included avionics for Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), mountain radars, electronic warfare (EW) suites for helicopters, air defence radars, electro-optical/infrared (EOIR) payloads for airborne and naval platforms, EW systems for naval platforms, fire control and sighting systems for tanks, mobile communication terminals, network systems, and counter-unmanned aerial systems.

In the non-defence segment, the company received orders for communication equipment, IT infrastructure for AIIMS, airport surveillance radars, software solutions, automatic train supervision systems, and electronic voting machines (EVMs). Export orders during the year comprised communication equipment, satellite communication networks, transmit-receive (TR) modules, electronic fuzes, and drones.

With these additions, BEL’s total order book stood at around Rs 74,000 crore as of April 1, 2026, including an export order book of $495 million.

Commenting on the performance, Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of BEL, said that evolving geopolitical developments and ongoing conflicts in West Asia have underscored the importance of self-reliance in strategic sectors and the need for a resilient domestic defence industrial ecosystem.

He noted that BEL is well-positioned to navigate these challenges, backed by its strong order book, diversified portfolio, modernised manufacturing facilities, and proven execution capabilities. The company continues to focus on indigenisation by reducing import dependency and strengthening domestic supply chains, while investing in future-ready technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced electronic warfare and communication systems, and autonomous platforms to tap emerging domestic and global opportunities.
