New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has announced the receipt of orders valued at Rs 2,323 crore (excluding taxes). The orders have been placed by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai, and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata.
According to the company, the orders are for the supply of base and depot spares required for the missile systems installed on Indian Naval ships. These spares are crucial for ensuring the operational continuity of mission-critical equipment onboard.
The development underscores BEL’s continued contribution to enhancing the Indian Navy's combat readiness and operational efficiency. The company, which is a key player in India’s defence electronics ecosystem, has been instrumental in supporting the indigenisation and modernisation initiatives of the Indian armed forces.
This order comes in addition to BEL's consistent track record of securing high-value defence and aerospace contracts, reinforcing its role as a strategic partner in India's self-reliance goals in defence manufacturing.
