BEL secures orders worth Rs 962 crore, including EOFCS contract from Indian Navy

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU), on Saturday said that it has secured fresh orders worth Rs 962 crore. The company has signed a contract valued at Rs 610 crore for the supply of the Electro-Optic Fire Control System (EOFCS) to the Indian Navy.

The EOFCS, a fully indigenously developed system, is designed for installation and integration onboard Indian Naval platforms. It features advanced capabilities, including panoramic and sector search, target tracking in day and night conditions, and engagement of tracked targets using medium- and short-range gun mounts.

In addition to the EOFCS contract, BEL has also received supplementary orders worth Rs 352 crore since its last disclosure on January 28, 2025. These include contracts for an anti-drone system, fuzes, integrated fire detection and suppression system, vessel communication system, and various spares and services.

With these new contracts, BEL's total order intake for the current financial year now stands at Rs 11,855 crore, reinforcing its strong position in India's defence and strategic electronics sector.
