New Delhi: Turning the spotlight on its resolve to support India's dream of achieving self-reliance in Defence Electronics, Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is showcasing its strengths and capabilities in the field of strategic electronics, along with DRDO at the India Pavilion, at the "Indo Defence Expo & Forum (IDEF) 2022" being held at Jakarta, Indonesia, from November 2 to November 5, 2022.

On display are state-of-the-art products and systems indigenously developed by BEL, in line with the Government of India's "Atmanirbhar Bharat" initiative, including Communication Radios, Radars such as Weapon Locating Radar, ATULYA Fire Control Radar and Battle Field Surveillance Radar – Short Range, Anti-drone System, Underwater System, Naval EW systems, Coastal Radar System, Electro-Optic equipment, Gun Upgrades, etc. The entire set of equipment on the show is a force multiplier for any Defence force in the world.

BEL is a multi-technology, multi-Unit conglomerate having products in the areas of Radars, Missile Systems, Military Communications, Naval Systems, Electronic Warfare & Avionics, C4I Systems, Electro Optics, Tank Electronics & Gun/Weapon System Upgrades and Electronic Fuzes in the Defence segment. BEL's non-Defence business segment includes areas such as Electronic Voting Machines, Homeland Security & Smart Cities, Satellite Integration & Space Electronics, Railways, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Software as a Service, Energy Storage Products, besides Composite Shelters & Masts.

BEL is fast expanding its global presence, putting its best foot forward to give a thrust to exports worldwide. In a bid to develop new markets in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) and friendly foreign countries (FFCs), BEL has operationalised overseas marketing offices in Oman, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. BEL has also expanded its Singapore and New York Regional Offices to handle marketing activities. The Government is encouraging defence exports through many policy initiatives and has set a target of Rs 35,000 crores by 2025. BEL has identified Exports & Offsets as one of its thrust areas and has drawn up plans to offer its select products and systems to various export markets. The company is also interacting with many foreign OEMs to meet Offset obligations in various programmes of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Efforts are also on to establish long-term supply chain relationships with global players.
