BEML inaugurates district office in Pune to facilitate defence industrial collaboration

New Delhi: BEML Limited marked a significant milestone on Thursday with the inauguration of its district office in Pune, Maharashtra. This strategic move is poised to foster enhanced industrial collaboration between BEML and defence establishments, facilitating a more progressive approach towards meeting the nation's defence requirements.

The newly established district office in Pune signifies BEML's commitment to bolstering its presence in key defence hubs across the country. Equipped with a dedicated team, the office will cater to the diverse needs of existing customers by providing a wide array of featured products, including high mobility vehicles, armoured vehicles, bridging systems, and more. Additionally, it will enable BEML to efficiently address the escalating demands for defence products from esteemed entities such as the Indian Army, DRDO, CVRDE, and other major defence establishments.

In his address during the inauguration ceremony, BEML's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Shantanu Roy commended on the relentless efforts of the team involved in bringing the project to fruition. He articulated his vision for the newly established office, emphasizing its strategic location within Pune, which will facilitate seamless collaboration with existing customers while also catering to the needs of prospective clients in the rail & metro, mining & construction, and infrastructure sectors. Furthermore, he underscored the office's role in enhancing customer support by enabling efficient service and spare parts availability.

Pune, often referred to as the "Queen of Deccan," stands as one of India's foremost defence hubs, boasting a burgeoning ecosystem of MSMEs engaged in defence production. BEML's decision to establish a presence in Pune underscores the city's pivotal role in the nation's defence landscape. The strategic location of the new office will enable BEML to extend its reach not only across Maharashtra but also to nearby regions, facilitating enhanced customer engagement and support.

As Pune gears up to host one of the largest Defence Expos from February 24-26, BEML is poised to participate to showcase its prowess in defence production and other areas of business.
