
New Delhi: BEML Limited has been awarded the prestigious WCDM Disaster Risk Reduction Award 2025 in the category of ‘Innovations in Mitigation for Climate Change.’ The award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal, at a ceremony held at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on January 15, 2024.
The award, instituted by the World Congress on Disaster Management (WCDM), an initiative of the Disaster Management Initiatives and Convergence Society (DMICS), recognizes exemplary contributions in the field of disaster and risk management. WCDM serves as a global platform for experts and organisations to collaborate on addressing critical challenges related to disaster risk and climate change.

Conducting afforestation initiatives, including tree plantation drives and promoting green cover in urban and rural areas surrounding its facilities.
Adopting renewable energy sources and adhering to ISO 14001 standards for environmental management.
