GRSE has a strong order book of Rs 28,000 crore (approx) currently, after having bagged two orders on competitive bidding recently. "GRSE has laid the foundation to set sail on a strong growth trajectory with its capacity to construct 20 ships concurrently, a 100-member strong design team and after having achieved the historical milestone of delivering 100 warships since 1960, ranging from frigates, ASW and missile corvettes to fast attack crafts," an official release said.
Admiral Lanba and Vice Admiral Singh reviewed the yard's modernisation initiatives, shipbuilding projects and also visited Yard 3020, a ASW Corvette under construction at GRSE.
