Govt assigns additional charge of BDL's Director (Production) to DV Srinivas Rao

New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has assigned the additional charge of the post of Director (Production) at Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) to DV Srinivas Rao, who is currently serving as Director (Technical).

Rao has been serving as Director (Technical) of BDL since September 20 2024.

In a communication dated February 4, the Defence Ministry conveyed that Rao will hold the additional charge until the joining of the regular incumbent, Cmde. Sujay Kapoor, or for a further period of three months, with effect from January 1, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He has been instrumental in establishing state of art Electronics Division in BDL which produces many critical sub-systems of various weapon systems. He has completed his bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Instrumentation followed by Masters in Digital Systems and Computer Engineering. Subsequently, he has pursued his Master’s in Business Administration in Human Resources.

Bharat Dynamics Ltd is a defence public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence and plays a key role in the manufacturing of guided missile systems and allied defence equipment.
