Sunil Shivaling Bagi takes over as Director (Finance), Goa Shipyard

New Delhi/ Vasco-Da-Gama: Sunil Shivaling Bagi on Wednesday took over as Director (Finance), Goa Shipyard Limited. A career Finance professional, Bagi carries with him more than 30 years of diverse experience at different levels. He was recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on May 03, 2022. Bagi is a Postgraduate in Commerce and a qualified Cost Accountant & Company Secretary. Having joined GSL in 1992 as Accounts Officer, Sunil Bagi has reached this coveted post with his dedication and hard work.

At GSL, while heading the Finance functions as Chief General Manager (Finance), Sunil Bagi has significantly contributed to developing financial strategies and policies for budgeting, pricing, cost control and profit planning for achieving the overall goals of the company. He has played a pivotal role in exploring and evaluating new business opportunities and business development of the Company. Bagi is instrumental in the Capability Augmentation cum Modernization Program of GSL, being executed at GSL.

As Director (Finance) of GSL, Bagi will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of finance and accounts of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving and formulating policies relating to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
