Delhi Metro: Samaypur Badli bridge will be of immense benefit to residents

“The FOB is 6.1 metres wide and will be of immense benefit to the residents of Yadav Nagar and Shiv Vihar colonies of Samaypur, who will be able to use the facility to reach the Samaypur Badli Metro station as well as the Badli Railway station. Till now, they had to cross the railway tracks to reach the metro station,” said the statement released by Delhi Metro.

The FOB also has the provision for a lift towards the colony side which will be made operational in due course of time. Indian Railway passengers using platform number-2 of the Badli Railway station can use the already existing lift of the metro station to reach the concourse level.

“Delhi Metro has always tried to provide FOB or underpass connectivity to the nearby areas of its Metro stations. Many of its Phase 3 stations were designed in such a way that the entry/ exit structures could also double up as FOBs or underpasses for passengers who just intended to cross the busy road. Presently, a number of stations on Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, Noida, Ghaziabad and old Delhi have such facility,” said the statement.
