English Medium School of RSP organises science exhibition

Rourkela: The 17^th Inter-School Science Exhibition-2019 organised at Ispat English Medium School, Sector-20 of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) concluded on November 23. CGM (C&IT) Ram Narayan Nayak was the chief guest at the valedictory function while GM In-charge (Town Services) PK Das was the guest of honour. GM (TS-Education) MK Agrawal, GM (CSR) M Appa Rao, many other officers of RSP, students, teachers and guardians were present on the occasion.

The dignitaries went round the exhibition and encouraged the student to come up with more creative ideas and find scientific solutions to different challenges faced in today's context. Awards were also presented to the winners of the best exhibits.

At the outset, IEMS's Princincipal Dr B Kar, Principal welcomed the gathering and presented a brief report of the science exhibition while Manager (Education) UC Pattnaik proposed a formal vote of thanks. IEMS's teacher Seema Victor anchored the programme.

It may be noted that the participants showcased their scientific acumen through a number of innovative projects based on Li-Fi (light fidelity) technology, resource management, agriculture & organic farming, health & cleanliness, transport & communication, digital & technological solutions, waste management and mathematical modelling. In all 25 schools from in and around Rourkela participated in the event. 520 students presented 260 projects under three categories in the exhibition.
