BEML bags Dun & Bradstreet atmanirbharta award for BH35 Electric Dump truck

New Delhi: State-owned mining and construction equipment manufacturer BEML Limited on Thursday said that it has been conferred with the Atmanirbharta Award at the 18th Dun & Bradstreet India PSUs & Government Summit in recognition of its development of India's first BH35 Electric Dump Truck.

The award has been presented during the summit held under the theme, "Delivering the Next Chapter of Bharat: The Public Sector Imperative," which highlighted the pivotal role of public sector enterprises in advancing India's economic growth and self-reliance agenda.

The honour was received by BEML's Chief General Manager and Head of International Business Division Jitendra Kumar on behalf of BEML's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Shantanu Roy.

According to an official statement, the BH35 Electric Dump Truck represents a major technological advancement for India's mining and infrastructure sectors. Developed through BEML's in-house engineering capabilities and designed to meet global standards, the electric vehicle combines operational performance with sustainability and innovation.

The company said the electric dump truck supports India's transition towards cleaner technologies and aligns with the country's environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives. The platform is expected to contribute to reducing carbon emissions while addressing the evolving operational requirements of the mining industry.

The recognition underscores BEML's continued focus on indigenous engineering, technological innovation and the development of advanced industrial solutions under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
