BHEL wins SCOPE eminence award for R&D, technology development & innovation

New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), the country’s leading engineering and manufacturing enterprise, has been conferred with the prestigious SCOPE Eminence Award in the category of R&D, Technology Development & Innovation for the year 2022-23.

The award was presented by President of India Droupadi Murmu, to BHEL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) K Sadashiv Murthy and Director (E, R&D) SM Ramanathan. The Minister of State for Finance (MoS) Pankaj Chaudhary, was also present at the ceremony.

The SCOPE Eminence Awards recognise outstanding contributions, innovation, and leadership demonstrated by Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) across diverse categories. BHEL was honoured for its sustained efforts in advancing research and development, driving technology innovation, and fostering indigenous capabilities in the strategic engineering sector.

Senior leadership from BHEL, including BHEL's Director (HR) Krishna Kumar Thakur; Director (Power) Tajinder Gupta; and Director (IS&P) Bani Varma were also present on the occasion.
