

New Delhi: Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) has launched a three-month-long Preventive Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026 under the aegis of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and Coal India Limited.

Based on the theme ‘Probity for Prosperity’ (सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि), the campaign will continue until November 16 and focus on promoting integrity, transparency, accountability and ethical conduct across the organisation.
ECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Satish Jha chaired the inaugural programme, led by Chief Vigilance Officer Deepti Patel. Jha administered the Integrity Pledge and released a digital calendar outlining activities planned during the campaign.

Addressing the gathering, Jha highlighted the importance of vigilance, ethical practices and institutional accountability. ECL Directors Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Girish Gopinathan Nair and Chitranjan Kumar also shared their views on the importance of vigilance and ethical conduct.
The programme was attended virtually by Area General Managers of ECL and their teams across the organisation.
