HSL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Cmde Girideep Singh, IN (Retd.), unfurled the national flag and reviewed the parade, which featured Security and Fire Service personnel, NCC cadets, Rover Scouts, Scouts & Guides, and students from HSL and nearby schools.

In his address, the CMD lauded employees for their commitment and hard work, which helped the shipyard post a historic turnover of Rs 1,471 crore and a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 213 crore in FY 2024–25 — the highest since its inception. The performance has also enabled HSL to achieve a positive net worth after 40 years, positioning it for "Mini Ratna" status in the coming months.

Highlighting operational milestones, Singh noted the delivery of INS Nistar and INS Sindhukirti, completion of a semi-submersible pontoon, and the concurrent commencement of construction for all four Fleet Support Ships (FSS) within the current financial year. These achievements, he said, reflect the shipyard’s expanding technological capabilities, precision engineering, and its crucial role in delivering complex naval platforms for the nation.

Emphasising the future direction, he outlined HSL’s adoption of Industry 4.0 practices, operational excellence initiatives, infrastructure modernisation, and upgrades in accounting standards — not merely as physical improvements, but as strategic enablers to meet the challenges of the next stage of growth. Urging all to “work with integrity and innovate for excellence,” he stressed that these initiatives will keep HSL competitive and future-ready.

In alignment with the Ministry of Defence’s “Year of Reforms,” Singh reaffirmed HSL’s commitment to implementing more reforms than in previous years, contributing to nation-building under the Prime Minister’s Maritime Vision 2030 and Amrit Kaal Vision 2047. He reiterated the shipyard’s pledge to Aatmanirbhar Bharat, calling for timely completion of projects and the development of a future-ready facility.

On the occasion, commendation letters were presented to employees for exemplary service, and winners of the Clean & Green competition were felicitated. A plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative was also organised, and as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, 500 national flags were distributed and hoisted across the shipyard, colony, and residences.
