HSL observes fire service week from April 14 to 24

New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) observed Fire Service Week from April 10 to April 20, with the theme 'Ensure Fire Safety, Contribute towards Nation Building, and Ensure Fire Safety Onboard/Inside Yard.'

On the closing ceremony, a mock evacuation and live firefighting drill was conducted to raise awareness about fire safety. Additionally, firefighting equipment were displayed at various stalls in the prefabrication area.

HSL CMD Cmde Hemant Khatri commended the fire service personnel for their alertness all the times and for the successful demonstration, as well as for ensuring accident-free operations in the FY 2023-24, despite achieving a threefold increase in production compared to FY 2020-21.

The CMD also emphasized the importance of preventing fire accidents through safe work practices and awarded prizes to the winners of various competitions organised as part of Fire Service Week.

This event was attended by the Directors and all employees of HSL and office bearers of the recognised union.
