

New Delhi: Indian Oil's Northern Region and Delhi State Office on Wednesday launched Swachhta Pakhwada, a fortnight-long cleanliness campaign to be observed from July 1 to 15, 2026, as part of the Government of India's Swachh Bharat Mission.

The campaign was inaugurated by Sailesh Kumar, Assistant Director, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), and Hemant Rathore, Executive Director, Northern Region & State Head, Delhi State Office, who administered the Swachhta Pledge, reaffirming the organisation's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
As part of the launch, the dignitaries flagged off a 'Swachhta Rath' from Green Park in New Delhi to create public awareness about cleanliness, hygiene and the need to reduce the use of single-use plastics. The awareness campaign will also feature Nukkad Nataks to engage citizens and promote sustainable practices.

The event also included a tree plantation drive and the distribution of saplings, underscoring the importance of environmental conservation and a cleaner, greener future.
Addressing employees, Rathore urged them to actively contribute towards realising the vision of a 'Swachh Bharat' by adopting and promoting cleanliness in their workplaces and communities.
