
New Delhi: Krishna Hegde Miyar, Group General Manager (HR) at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), has been conferred the Mahatma Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Individual Category for Social Responsibility and Social Impact.
The award was presented by Dr. Kiran Bedi, the country’s first woman IPS officer and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, along with Amit Sachdeva, Gandhian, lawyer, and founder of the Mahatma Award in a glittering ceremony held at the India International Centre, New Delhi, on October 1, 2025.
The award recognises his contributions in devising people-oriented HR policies, leveraging digital technology in making HR function efficient and impactful, promoting inclusive leadership, and leading Samrakshan, MRPL’s flagship CSR initiative.
The Mahatma Award honours individuals and organisations contributing to social responsibility, sustainability, and humanitarian causes, inspired by the values of Mahatma Gandhi.
