NMDC co-hosts CVC training programme on Vigilance Manual 2026

New Delhi: The Vigilance Department of NMDC Limited co-hosted a Training of Trainers Programme conducted by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) in Hyderabad on September 17, focusing on the CVC’s Master Circulars and Vigilance Manual 2026.

The programme was virtually addressed by Praveen Kumar Sinha, former Special Director, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), who highlighted the significance of the CVC Master Circulars and the need for revision of the Vigilance Manual. He also emphasised rotation of personnel holding sensitive posts as an important preventive vigilance measure.

The programme was attended by around 75 Vigilance Officers and representatives from organisations in the South Zone. Officials from the CVC, including Rajiv Verma, Consultant; Ajai Kumar Verma, Director; and Arvind Kumar, OSD, participated in the programme along with Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) of participating PSUs.

CVOs and senior vigilance officials from MIDHANI, BDL, ECIL and NMDC participated in the programme. C. Neelakanta Reddy, CVO, NMDC, emphasised the importance of understanding and effectively implementing the provisions of the CVC Master Circulars and Vigilance Manual 2026 in vigilance functions.

CVC speakers provided an overview of the Vigilance Manual 2026, outlining key changes and their implications for vigilance administration. They also explained the provisions and practical relevance of recently issued CVC Master Circulars, followed by interactive sessions addressing participants’ queries.

The programme focused on knowledge sharing and capacity building, with discussions aimed at promoting consistency in vigilance practices and strengthening institutional capacity. It also reinforced the participating PSUs’ commitment to transparency, probity and effective vigilance administration.
