New Delhi: NTPC Kaniha began its observation of the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign on Saturday with a focus on promoting cleanliness and hygiene among its employees and the local community. The event has been inaugurated by AK Sehgal, Head of Project (HOP), NTPC Kaniha, who administered the Swachhata pledge to the participants at the PTS township.
The day’s activities began with a Prabhat Pheri, an early morning procession aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness. The initiative saw participation from heads of departments, senior officials, township residents, and school students, reflecting a collective effort to foster a cleaner environment.
Swachhata Pakhwada, a fortnight-long cleanliness campaign, will continue at NTPC Kaniha from September 14 to October 2, 2024, in alignment with the national mission to promote hygiene and sanitation across India.
