NTPC Mouda recalls 10 years of commercial operations of stage 1

New Delhi: NTPC Mouda celebrated the 10 years of commercial operations of stage-1 on March 30. The day began with a Walkathon followed by official and cultural celebrations. All the employees and officials actively graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.

On the occasion, the head of the project of NTPC Mouda, KMK Prusty congratulated all the employees for completing the 10 years of excellence in operating stage-1 of the project. He reminisced on the inception of stage-1, with Unit 1 beginning commercial operations in March 2013 followed by Unit 2 in March 2014. The 1000 MW stage-1 was officially dedicated to the Nation in August 2014 by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.

While addressing the employees and officials during the celebrations, Prusty also added that NTPC Mouda has significantly contributed to the overall growth of NTPC in terms of generations. The Stage 1 generation reached to 6873.66 (MU) in 2024 from 750.1 (MU) in 2014. Unit 1 and Unit 2 of Stage 1 have performed exceptionally well in the recent years with the consistent support of employees and officials.

As stage-1 marks the new innings, the entire day was dedicated to stage-1 and various activities, which included a Walkathon and Musical Night were organised. The presence of the honorable, Head of Project, President (Samruddhi Mahila Samiti) Sushma Prusty, GM (COE) Prem Chand, GM (Project) Pradeep B Paranjape, GM (Maintenance) Harekrushna Jena and Shift Incharge of Stage 1 made the occasion special.

The employees and family members also enjoyed the musical evening in which In-house talent performed and the orchestra team ‘Saregama’ made the day memorable with their mesmerizing music.
