New Delhi: NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated the 77th Republic Day on January 26 with great enthusiasm.

The programme started with unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, NTPC Limited's Executive Director K. Narasimha Reddy followed by the National Anthem. Reddy then inspected the ceremonial parade. The parade was led by CISF personnel along with students from DAV Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), and SSVM. Tricolour balloons were also released on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, K Narasimha Reddy highlighted the significance of Republic Day and reflected on the constitutional values of the nation. He spoke about the achievements of NTPC and NTPC Talcher Kaniha and also shared information about upcoming projects.

A colourful cultural programme was presented by students of Evershine School, Baal Bhavan & Welfare Centre, both of which is being run under the aegis of Tanvi Sangam - Ladies club, Kendriya Vidyalaya, DAV, and Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir. Their dances and performances show cased national unity and pride.

On this occasion, employees, students and associates were honoured with various awards such as CISF Security, CISF Fire Services, Township Security, ICH, Best Student, Best Teacher, Special Recognition for NEET achievers, HOP Meritorious Awards, Women Achiever Awards, ManveeytaPuraskar, and Business Excellence award.

The programme was attended by K Srivani, President, Tanvi Sangam Ladies Club; Sumit Kumar Kundu, GM (O&M); Alok Kumar Pandey, DC (CISF); Samarpita Dewasi, GM (Project); Dr. Tapan Kumar Ray, GM (Operation & FM) along with HODs, employees, union and association members, CISF personnel, school principals, students, and children.

The celebration ended with a strong message of unity, discipline, and national pride.
